CLEAN Jams is a weekly, 60-minute radio program hosted by Benjamin Lerner that shines a spotlight on Rap, Hip-Hop, and Recovery. The show is recorded at Old Mill Road Recording in East Arlington, VT – and broadcast on WEQX every Thursday night at 11pm. The show is engineered by Jack Schlandt. In addition to Sober Rap & Hip-Hop music, each episode includes a guest interview with a health professional, musician, politician, lawyer, or other recovery partner, discussing addiction and sobriety. Benjamin’s inaugural guest on January 28, 2021, was Vermont’s Health Commissioner, Dr. Mark Levine. CLEAN Jams is sponsored by Old Mill Road Media.

Benjamin Lerner

Benjamin Lerner is a composer, writer, musician, and recovery advocate. He has been sober and clean since June 13th, 2016. His weekly column, CLEAN, is read by 34,000+ every week in the Vermont News Guide. His debut album, also entitled CLEAN, was released in February 2020. The album features his original piano-raps, in which he shares his personal journey in addiction and recovery. Benjamin is a staff writer for VERMONT Magazine, Stratton Magazine, Manchester Life Magazine, and Berkshire Magazine. Benjamin has had the honor of performing at The National Academy of Medicine and The Aspen Institute. Benjamin lives in East Arlington, Vermont.
